AN INTERESTING BOOK REVIEW FOR STUDENTS NEW TO LEGAL STUDIES

Studying Law
Fourth Edition

By

Phillip H Kenny

Comment by Phillip Taylor

The fourth edition of this book adds a well needed gloss to the many books advising students how to study law. It covers the usual and necessary ground by explaining how the English Legal System is structured, and it defines the historic roots of the common law in easy terms. Kenny ends with a guide to law courses, and inserts useful professional addresses for would-be lawyers. This little book makes essential reading for those seeking all the relevant information they need in one place. It fills the gap left by the last edition of Glanville Williams book Learning The Law (11th edition early 1980s), and does, indeed, act as a guide, philosopher and friend to the law student of the 21st century.
